When the labor contract in China expires, if the employer has no intention to renew the contract, or wants to reduce the conditions agreed in the labor contract and renew the contract, and the employee disagrees, it shall pay economic compensation to the employee.

On the contrary, if the employer maintains or improves the conditions agreed in the labor contract and renews the contract, and the employee disagrees, the company does not need to pay economic compensation.
